Naujoji Pilaite – a new type of residential area comprising 6 housing estates (Plan of Naujoji Pilaite). The estate designed by A. Vysniauskas. Construction works of estate I of Naujoji Pilaite began in the end of 2005. The project is due to be completed in 2009. UAB “Vilmesta” has already built three residential estates, i.e. the 1st (Description of Estate I, Plan of Estate I), the 4th (Description of Estate IV, Plan of Estate IV), and the 5th (Description of Estate V, Plan of Estate V). construction works of the 2nd estate are coming to an end (Description of Estate II, Plan of Estate II). Each estate comprises two, three, five or six houses built considering the arrangement of streets. This is a modern construction distinguished for its architecture: houses are not high – 4-7 storeys, their arrangement in estates and the plan of a mircrodistrict have been thoroughly thought of. It is very spacious in the settlement, a number of green areas and playgrounds for children.
Seven-storeys have 26 apartments, while 4–7- storey row houses comprise 46 apartments. Each apartment has a glazed loggia, a part of houses has terraces on the first and seventh floors. Apartments on sale are fully or partly finished. In those with full finish floor is of natural wood parquet plates, painted walls; bathroom, kitchen and hallway areas have tiled and electrically heated floor and tiled walls, plumbing devices installed in plumbing components, kitchen furniture VOKE III with installed domestic appliances: cooker hoods, heating plates, ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers.
Apartments – 1–3- room:
- One-room – 33-38 sq.m.
- Two-room – 56 sq.m.
- Three-room – 75-86 sq.m.
- On the last (the seventh) floor spacious, comfortably designed two-room apartments (66-71 sq.m.) with large terraces (57-70 sq.m.)
The 1st and 4th residential estates are already built and certified as fit to use. The 5th estate is already built – at the moment full finish works are in process here. It is to be certified as fit to use by January 10, 2008.
Two-room apartments will prevail in houses of the second estate where construction operations have begun. 72 partly finished apartments in 2 four-storeys have been designed. On each floor there will be three staircases with three apartments in each.
